Faculty of Law discusses doctoral dissertation on reparations mechanisms in financial legislation

On Sunday, February 9, 2024, a doctoral dissertation was discussed at the Faculty of Law/University of Mosul on the mechanisms of reparations in financial legislation/comparative study.
A part of it was attended by Mr. Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil, Governor of Nineveh, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and several college members.
The dissertation submitted by student Saeed Khudaida Golo in the public law branch dealt with the study of reparations in Iraqi financial legislation and its importance due to its immediate and future effects on the financial center of the state as well as societal stability and its permanence and the stability of legal centers and various financial transactions.
The dissertation aims to show that reparations are the compensation of the damage caused to the victim as a result of violations suffered by an unknown perpetrator through legal mechanisms aimed at restoring rights or material or moral compensation.
The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Saad Attia Hamad, and the members of the committee were Assistant Professor Dr. Fadila Abbas Ghaib, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhad Abduljamal Abdulkarim, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Sami Younis, Assistant Professor Dr. Zainab Munzer Jassim, and the membership and supervision of Professor Dr. Qabas Hassan Awad.
