Climate station
In order to enhance climate action, monitor weather element readings, and provide a climatic database, a climate station has been established at the College of Education for Humanities. The station is located on the rooftop of the Department of Geography building, at an elevation of 228 meters above sea level, with coordinates:
36°22’42.7″N 43°08’40.4″E.
The station supports readings of the following parameters:
temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, solar radiation, ultraviolet radiation, wind speed and direction, atmospheric pressure, and evaporation rate.
It is planned to enhance data collection by adding additional modern sensors.
The station is supervised by a technician who monitors the readings, links them to global weather models and international platforms, and prepares monthly and seasonal reports.
