Specialized scientific course in the department of Pharmaceutical ChemistryUnder the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Kussay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Zina Abdel-Moneim Abdel-Majeed, the activities of the specialized scientific course, which are held by the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Sciences department, were launched today, Sunday, May 22, 2022, which is entitled:Computer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry: An Introduction and Simple ApplicationsThe activities of the first day of the course included a lecture by the specialized pharmacist, Raghad Riyad, entitled:ChemDraw: Drawing chemical structures and more.This was followed by a lecture by the Head of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry department, Dr. Mahmood Hashim, entitled:Avogadro: Drawing 3D chemical structures and optimizing them.The course aims, in general, to shed light on the importance of computers and information technologies in pharmaceutical chemistry and the processes of drug design and discovery.It is worth noting that the course activities will continue until Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
