The College of Pharmacy at the University of Mosul Supports Sustainable Development Goals with Lectures on Clean Water and Clean Energy

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Yasser Fakhri Mustafa, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and as part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Mosul’s program to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the College of Pharmacy organized two awareness lectures on Thursday, June 19, 2025, focusing on key sustainability themes.
• The first lecture, titled “Clean Water and Its Importance for Human and Environmental Health”, was delivered by Dr. Aws Maseer Najris, highlighting the challenges of water scarcity and strategies for sustainable water management.
• The second lecture, titled “Clean Energy and Its Role in Environmental Protection and Reducing Carbon Emissions”, was presented by Assistant Lecturer Amal Fakhr Al-Din, discussing renewable energy sources and their potential in modern societies.

This scientific activity reflects the college’s ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable development principles and raising environmental awareness among students and academic staff.
