“Dermatological Preparations in Pharmaceutical Practice”
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Kossay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmady, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Yasser Fakhry Mustafa, the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology organized a scientific symposium titled “Dermatological Preparations in Pharmaceutical Practice.” The event was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the college’s main auditorium.
The symposium aimed to deepen scientific knowledge regarding skin anatomy, skin types, and the impact of various cosmeceuticals. It also focused on enhancing pharmaceutical counseling skills by bridging theoretical foundations with modern dispensing recommendations, addressing professional challenges to advance pharmacy practice in skincare.
The program featured specialized scientific presentations and lectures delivered by faculty members in collaboration with the renowned SVR Laboratories. The sessions covered the latest advancements in cosmetology, the mechanisms of action of topical products, and their physiological effects. Furthermore, interactive discussions were held on the safe and rational use of pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations.
This symposium reflects the commitment of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology to its academic and social responsibilities, reinforcing the College of Pharmacy’s position as a leading scientific institution dedicated to public health and community service.
