College of Pharmacy Hosts Breast Cancer Awareness Festival for “Pink October”

Under the supervision of the Dean, Professor Dr. Yasser Fakhry Mustafa, the College of Pharmacy organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Festival on Sunday, October 26, 2025. This event was held in observance of Pink October, the global month dedicated to breast cancer awareness, as part of the activities led by the University Psychological Counseling Division in collaboration with the Student Activities Division’s Voluntary Work Unit.
The festival featured an exhibition of awareness posters and the distribution of educational brochures. Furthermore, an introductory lecture was conducted, emphasizing the critical importance of breast self-examination (BSE) and early screening. The session highlighted how early detection significantly increases recovery rates and minimizes potential complications.
The organization of this festival underscores the college’s commitment to disseminating health literacy and fostering a culture of prevention among students and staff. It further reinforces the university’s leading role in community service and its dedication to advancing public health standards through continuous educational and awareness initiatives.
