In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning/ Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, the College of Political Science discussed prospects for academic and student cooperation with the International Student and Youth Pugwash (ISYP) through a virtual meeting held at the invitation of the American University of Iraq–Baghdad (AUIB).

The meeting discussed future areas of cooperation and the possibility of organizing a joint international student activity involving the American University of Iraq–Baghdad, the International Student and Youth Pugwash (ISYP), and the College of Political Science. Such cooperation would enhance students’ participation in international events and dialogues and develop their academic and youth-oriented skills.

Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining communication and working to develop joint initiatives and programs during the coming period.

The meeting was attended, on behalf of the American University of Iraq–Baghdad, by Dr. Elizabeth Bishop and Dr. Farid Yasin; and on behalf of the College of Political Science, by Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Subhan, Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Saif Al-Din, and Lecturer Ammar Ahmed Rashid.
