In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul achieved third place university-wide in scouting activities for the 2025–2026 academic year. This achievement was attained by the Scouting Activities Unit of the College’s Student Activities Division, in recognition of its outstanding performance throughout the previous academic year, through its diverse scouting, humanitarian, cultural, and sports activities and participation.

The activities included organizing a scouting camp in cooperation with the College of Engineering and hosted by the College of Nursing; holding a scientific seminar on the role of the Scouting Movement in promoting humanitarian work; participating in a development course for heads of scouting activities units; visiting the Palace of Culture and Arts and an orphanage; participating in the college’s art exhibition and sports festival; taking part in the “My School” initiative at Al-Thair Al-Thani School; as well as participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week, University Day celebrations, Entrepreneurship Day, and various other activities and events.

On this occasion, the College Dean’s Office extends its thanks and appreciation to the Head of the Student Activities Division, Lecturer Dr. Omar Abdulaziz Khalaf; the Head of the Scouting Activities Unit, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Adel Marai; and the participating students, in recognition of their distinguished efforts and valuable contributions to achieving this notable accomplishment.
