As part of the University of Mosul’s commitment to developing the educational process and enhancing the quality of academic outcomes, the College of Political Science received, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, Professor Dr. Muthanna Subhi Sulaiman, Director of the Department of Studies and Planning, accompanied by the committee responsible for monitoring the implementation and development of the Bologna Process in the university’s colleges.

The committee was received by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, along with several members of the College Council.

The visit aimed to assess the level of preparation and readiness for implementing the Bologna Process and to determine the extent to which the approved guidelines and procedures comply with the specified requirements and regulations. The visit included reviewing and auditing several aspects, most notably printed academic guides and course handbooks, approved course descriptions in accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), as well as organizational files and documents related to the educational process and mechanisms for their proper preservation and archiving.

The visit also included an extensive discussion session addressing the development of the implementation procedures related to the Bologna Process. During the session, the committee presented a number of observations and recommendations intended to enhance the quality of academic performance and improve work mechanisms, while commending the efforts made by the college and its academic committees in this area.

This visit comes as part of the university’s efforts to follow up on the implementation of modern educational systems, strengthen academic quality standards, and develop educational programs in line with the requirements of the Bologna Process.
