College of Political Sciences

The Human Rights Unit at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, held its scientific symposium titled “Human Rights Education: Strategies for Teaching Youth About Their Rights and Responsibilities” on Sunday, 20 April 2025.

The symposium aimed to highlight the importance of instilling human rights concepts among youth and developing effective educational strategies that enable them to understand their rights and responsibilities in society. This contributes to building an aware generation committed to democratic values and actively participating in civic life.

The symposium consisted of three lectures delivered by Dr. Ali Bashar Bakr (Lecturer), Ms. Elham Saeed Qadir (Assistant Lecturer), and Ms. Insan Saleem Mahdi (Assistant Lecturer), with Ms. Omnia Ibrahim Khalil (Assistant Lecturer) serving as the symposium coordinator.

The event was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit.
