The Deputy Chairman of the Nineveh Provincial Council, Legal Expert Mohammed Abdullah Al-Jubouri, extended his congratulations to Assistant Professor Dr. Sohaib Khalid Jasim Al-Taie on the occasion of his appointment as Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, on Thursday, 8 May 2025.

The Deputy emphasized that this appointment is a culmination of Dr. Al-Taie’s scholarly achievements and distinguished standing within the academic community. He further highlighted Dr. Al-Taie’s administrative acumen and academic competence, which qualify him to lead the College toward greater advancement and institutional development.

The importance of the College’s role was also underscored, particularly in preparing specialized cadres capable of contributing to the enhancement of political awareness and the consolidation of civic values and democratic principles. The Deputy commended both the University and the College for their pioneering roles in community building and supporting the state-building process.

In turn, the Dean expressed his appreciation for this visit, affirming his commitment to advancing the College on both academic and administrative fronts, in a manner that meets the aspirations of students and faculty members alike.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their shared aspiration for strengthened collaboration between the Provincial Council and the College—and the University more broadly—in support of the educational mission and in service of the people of Nineveh Province.
