Under the patronage of the esteemed Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, Rector of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of the esteemed Associate Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Political Science, the Civil Defense Division at the University of Mosul Presidency organized a scientific workshop on “Civil Defense Procedures for Handling Fires and Disasters” on Monday, April 20, 2026, in the College’s Conference and Discussion Hall.

The workshop was delivered by Mr. Sufyan Idris Muhammad, Head of the Civil Defense Division at the University of Mosul. It featured a practical demonstration of various types of fire extinguishers, their methods of operation, and the specific functions of each.

The significance of this workshop lies in its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
