A Professor at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, Chairs a Master’s Thesis Defense Committee at the College of Basic Education on “Narrations of Al-Farra in Abu Ibrahim Al-Harbi’s Gharib Al-Hadith”

In implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 4: Quality Education; Prof. Dr. Salah Al-Din Salim Mohammed, a faculty member of the Public Policy Branch at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, chaired the committee for the defense of the master’s thesis submitted by student Mohammed Ahmed Hammadi at the College of Basic Education, entitled: “Narrations of Al-Farra in Abu Ibrahim Al-Harbi’s Gharib Al-Hadith – A Semantic Study,” on Sunday, 9 August 2026.

The thesis examined the narrations attributed by Abu Ibrahim Al-Harbi to Al-Farra in his book Gharib Al-Hadith, through a semantic study that seeks to identify the narrations related to Al-Farra, analyze their linguistic meanings, explain the meanings and usages they contain, and highlight the scholarly value of these narrations in supporting linguistic and Hadith studies.

Following the defense, the committee’s decision was read, approving the thesis and awarding the student a Master’s degree.
