The Council of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Holds Its Sixteenth Open Session for the Academic Year 2025–2026

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning/ Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, the Council of the College of Political Science held its sixteenth open session for the academic year 2025–2026 on Wednesday, 19 August 2026.

The meeting stressed the need for full preparedness to conduct the second-round examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate students for the academic year 2025–2026, ensuring the necessary requirements are in place for the successful administration of the examinations. Meanwhile, the Council called for continued publication of faculty members’ scientific research in reputable international indexing databases, particularly Scopus and Clarivate. The participants also called for updating all academic curricula in line with scientific and academic developments and the requirements of higher-education quality. The meeting further addressed the completion of the Bologna Process in preparation for its implementation at the first-year level in the academic year 2026–2027, contributing to the development of the educational process and the enhancement of its outcomes.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, in the presence of the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Muayyad Younis and Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Marwan Ali, as well as the heads of the two academic departments, Professor Dr. Waleed Salem Mohammed and Professor Dr. Hazim Hamad Musa.
