College of Veterinary Medicine

In implementation of the directives of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, regarding the university’s role in serving the community, the College of Veterinary Medicine carried out the largest and first voluntary campaign at the beginning of the 2023–2024 academic year. The campaign involved the college’s volunteer team (faculty members and students), under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Dhafer Mohammed Aziz.

On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the team visited Al-Raihaniya Old Mixed School / Badosh District, where they provided advice and guidance on dealing with domestic animals. They also supplied the pupils—numbering 130—with stationery and assessed the school’s needs. The school was provided with:

• A laser printer

• 2 large water tanks

• 2 restroom doors installed

• 6 electric heaters

• Stationery for 130 students across all grade levels

The campaign also emphasized one of the Sustainable Development Goals. Sweets and milk were distributed to the pupils in a joyful and interactive atmosphere.
