Department of Industrial Management at Mosul University’s College of Administration and Economics Discusses Master’s Thesis on the Impact of Critical Success Factors for Virtual Reality in Improving Quality by Design

The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed a master’s thesis entitled “The Impact of Critical Success Factors for Virtual Reality in Improving Quality by Design,” presented by student Dina Jamal Khalil Al-Qassab, on Monday, September 7, 2026, in Examination Hall No. 1.
The study aimed to determine the role of technical and organizational requirements necessary for the successful application of virtual reality in enhancing design outcomes, through building an integrated theoretical framework that illustrates the critical success factors of virtual reality and quality by design, and showing the nature of the relationship between the supportive environment for virtual reality and the accuracy and efficiency of designs.
The study arrived at a number of conclusions, most notably that virtual reality represents a modern technical and administrative tool that supports product design and development through digital simulation models instead of traditional physical models. It also demonstrated that quality by design represents an essential approach to building quality from the earliest stages of design, rather than relying on post-production inspection, thereby contributing to improving product quality and reducing errors and waste.
The defense committee consisted of: Assistant Professor Dr. Bassam Muneeb Ali – College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul – Chairman, Assistant Professor Dr. Safwan Yassin Hassan – College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul – Member, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Jajan Younis – College of Computer Science and Mathematics / University of Mosul – Member, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Ali Ismail – College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul – Member and Supervisor.
