A master’s thesis was discussed in the Department of Agricultural Economics/ College of Agriculture and Forestry / University of Mosul, for the student (Moamen Lazem Yahya) on Wednesday 18/8/2021.Summary of Thesis:The importance of the research appears from the importance of the Iraqi agricultural sector because it is a major source in providing food and contribution to the operation of 32% of the workforce in it. In Iraq during the period 1990-2018. In order to prove the hypothesis of the research, the concepts of economic theory and previous studies were adopted in determining the variables affecting agricultural growth in addition to the inflation rate variable, which is the foreign exchange rate, the deficit in the state’s general budget, agricultural support and agricultural loans. Depending on the time series data for the aforementioned variables, using the regular and weighted least squares method, and the E-veiws10 program. Several conclusions were reached, the most important of which was the failure of monetary policy in Iraq and its lack of integration with the objectives of agricultural activity, which led to an increase in the money supply in comparison with the demand for it. This was accompanied by Iraq’s adoption of an expansionary fiscal policy in exchange for the low efficiency of the performance of the tax system, which led to rising inflation rates. The discussion committee consisted of:
