A master’s thesis was discussed in the Department of Field Crops/ College of Agriculture and Forestry / University of Mosul for the student (Ibtisam Abdullah Mahmoud Al-Badrani) on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Thesis title (Genetic analysis of coarse wheat using second-generation hybrids according to the global mating system). The study dealt with estimating a number of genetic parameters, genetic variations, and hybrid strength. The thesis aims to study second-generation (F2) hybrids between several fathers and mothers using the factorial mating system method to find a decline in inbred breeding and estimate the general union ability of the parents and the union ability in particular of the hybrids resulting from them (sires and hybrids). second generation). Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Al-Allaf (Dean of the College) attended a part of the discussion.
