A Ph.D. thesis was discussed in the Department of Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture/ College of Agriculture and Forestry / University of Mosul for the student (Ibtisam Ismail Ahmed) on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Thesis title (The effect of benzyl adenine, calcium chloride, and chitosan on the growth and flowering of the Gerbera plant, Gerbera jamesonii Bolus ex. Hook.f, Esmara cultivar, and other treatments on its flowering life).

Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi (President of the University of Mosul) and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Al-Allaf (Dean of the College) attended part of the discussion.

The study aims to study the response of gerbera to treatment with benzyl adenine at a concentration of 0 and 250 mg/L, calcium chloride at a concentration of 0, 125, and 250 mg/L, and chitosan at a concentration of 0, 150, and 300 mg/L, sprayed on the vegetative system monthly for a full year, starting in March 2021, until April 2022.
