The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Committee holds a workshop on rejecting violent extremism.
In conjunction with the International Day for Combating Terrorism and Violent Extremism today, Wednesday, February 14, in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the University of Mosul, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Al-Allaf (Dean of the College) and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali Farouk Al-Maadidi (Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs), the Psychological Counseling Committee was established the educational guidance in our college and the college deanship hall held a workshop entitled (Renouncing violent extremism and its effects on societal peace).
During a workshop in which Asst. Prof. Dr. Fathi Muhammad Al-Hayani (Director of the Center for Peacebuilding and Peaceful Coexistence at the University of Mosul, international trainer specializing in international law and human rights) hosted. The workshop touched on the role of educational institutions and teaching staff in combating and fighting extremist thinking and behavior, enshrining the concepts of centrism and moderation, making Iraq a safe country enjoying security and stability, consolidating centrism and moderation, and rejecting hate speech and extremism in society and educational institutions.
