Discussion of a Master’s Thesis in the Department of Forestry Sciences
A master’s thesis was discussed in the Forestry Sciences/ College of Agriculture and Forestry / University of Mosul for the student (Jayman Abdel Qader Saleh Mustafa) on Monday, May 6, 2024. Thesis title (Modeling the relationship between stem size factors and the surface area of the trunks of pine trees growing in natural forests in northern Iraq). Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Al-Allaf (Dean of the College) attended a part of the discussion.
The study aims to model the relationship between stem size and surface area of pine trees at different densities, as well as to verify that integrating the squared radius of the diameter gives us the volume of the woody stem of the tree stem and also using volume to estimate the surface area of the tree stem and its shape factor. This gives the forest administrator knowledge of the effect of the degree of taper. On the size of the woody trunk
The discussion committee consisted of:
1. Prof.Dr. Muzahim Saeed Al-Bak … (Chairman).
2. Dr. Mahdi Hadi Mohsen … (Member).
3. Dr. Muhammad Assem Saeed …. (Member).
4. Dr. Ammar Jassim Al-Yousef … (Member and supervisor).
Then, the discussion committee read the decision, which included acceptance of the thesis and awarding the student an M.Sc. degree.
Congratulations on Obtaining Your Master’s Degree
