The Dean of the College participates in the Deans’ Committee Colleges of Agriculture meeting in Iraq.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Al-Allaf (Dean of the College) participated in the meeting of the Deans’s Committee of the Colleges of Agriculture in Iraqi universities, which was hosted by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad. Prof. Dr. Mahdi Damad Al-Qaisi (Adviser to the Ministry of Agriculture), Prof. Dr. Hamid Ali Hadwin (former Director General of the Plant Protection Department), the deans of the faculties of agriculture and the head of the Council for the Improvement of the Quality of Agricultural Education attended the meeting.During the meeting, the reasons for the low acceptance rates were discussed. Several solutions and remedies were proposed that would provide a fair distribution of students and reduce the size of the risks that the country will suffer from in the future in light of the lack or absence of agricultural expertise that would lead the farm sector in a country that possesses all the ingredients for thriving agriculture. The meeting agreed on several recommendations, including the importance of revitalizing the private agricultural sector and benefiting from the experiences of pioneering countries in advancing agriculture through forming an agricultural council led by decision-makers.
