The Dean of the College attends a human rights and climate change workshop.
Today, Sunday, January 21, 2024, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Al-Allaf (Dean of the College) attended the workshop held by the Human Rights Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) in Nineveh Governorate, tagged (Human Rights and Climate Change). The workshop aimed to focus on the most critical challenges that hinder confronting the effects of climate change in the Republic of Iraq in general and in Nineveh Governorate in particular, and its repercussions on human rights and reducing the negative consequences of climate change on society. The Dean of the College touched on the importance of vegetation and forest cover, particularly in the emergence of climatic ecosystems that positively affect Iraq’s climate. The official of the Media and Government Communication Division in our college, Professor Dr. Iyad Hani Al-Allaf, and several employees of the University of Mosul, government departments in the city of Mosul, and civil society organizations in the town also attended it.
