The Forestry Department has contributed to graduating specialized cadres in forest sciences with bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, as well as accepting and graduating Arab students from many Arab countries, including Libya, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Sudan, Tunisia, Palestine, Algeria, and Mauritania. In the Forestry Department, many studies, applied research, and contracts with the public sector and ministries have been completed to serve the public interest, with the contribution of highly specialized scientific cadres represented by its professors. - To prepare a qualified scientific cadre who will undertake to provide the requirements and implement forestry projects in the field of tourism, in addition to afforestation of entrances to cities, public roads and squares, and afforestation of arid areas, as well as the treatment of desertification and the stabilization of dunes in different areas of roads and other public areas, which require a scientific cadre.
- To follow up the scientific development in the field of forests through conducting research and scientific studies in the various research tracks of forest sciences and their applications in establishing pioneering forest projects.
