An Archaeological Cooperation With University Of Bologna
Rector Kossay Alahmady, Rector Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Munir Salim Taha, and Dean of College of Archaeology, Assistant Prof. Dr. Yasmin Abdulkarim Mohammed, received the Italian archaeologist, Prof. Nicolo Marketti, Director of the Italian Antiquity Mission that excavate in the site of Nineveh, and scholar, Valentino Auro of University of Bologna, Italy, on November 25th, 2020.During the meeting, the cooperation between University of Mosul and University of Bologna, in the field of antiquities, was discussed with special focus on providing training courses for the postgraduates and the students of Archaeology. Also, discussions included the ways of implementing Project BANO between the University and the EU, which states that the University is to be supplied with special technologies and equipment for excavations, and training courses for the faculty of archaeology provided by the Turkish Koç University and University of Bologna, besides organizing specialized workshops in University of Mosul.
