As part of efforts to achieve the goals of the government program aimed at utilizing the expertise of scholars for academic and scientific development, and in alignment with the University of Mosul’s strategy to enhance its scientific standing and elevate its academic level, the Unit for Harnessing Scholars’ Potential held a comprehensive meeting with scholars from the College of Engineering. The meeting was attended by the assistant deans for scientific and administrative affairs.

Assistant Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, head of the unit, delivered a detailed presentation outlining the program’s primary objectives. He emphasized the critical role scholars play in advancing the university’s academic and research standards by transferring the knowledge and expertise they gained from their studies at foreign universities. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between the University of Mosul and international universities through joint research initiatives, fostering new avenues for cooperation with globally renowned institutions.

The meeting included an in-depth discussion of the challenges and obstacles faced by the scholars and explored ways to overcome them. This effort aims to solidify the scholars’ role as a cornerstone in achieving the university’s aspirations for academic excellence and their active contribution to advancing higher education in Iraq.
