A Master’s thesis titled “Employing Game Theory and Artificial Intelligence Methods in Statistical Analysis for Managing Competition Among Sports Clubs” was discussed in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics on Sunday, December 22, 2024. The study presented by researcher Ibrahim Mohammed focused on the use of game theory, particularly non-cooperative two-player games with non-zero-sum outcomes, and analyzed it using genetic algorithms, which are one of the techniques in artificial intelligence, to develop a program in R language that contributes to enhancing the quality of managerial decisions in the sports domain.

The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Safaa Younis, with members including Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Abdul Aziz Majid and Assistant Professor Dr. Ban Ghanem Omar, and under the supervision and involvement of Instructor Dr. Mohammed Qassem Yahya Al-Awjar.
