At the Science Day celebration, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of Mosul University, and his scientific assistant, Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, for their significant efforts in advancing the goals of higher education in Iraq. The university ranked second in the number of awards received on this day, following Baghdad University. The awards included 4 for the College of Veterinary Medicine, 4 for the College of Science, 2 for the College of Pure Education Sciences, 2 for the College of Pharmacy, 1 for the College of Agriculture and Forestry, 1 for the Remote Sensing Center, and 2 for the Central Library.
