A Master’s Thesis in the College of Agriculture and Forestry Discusses the Efficiency of Utilizing Productive Resources and the Profitability of Forage Crops (Barley and Yellow Corn)

The College of Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis titled “Efficiency of Utilizing Productive Resources and the Profitability of Forage Crops (Barley and Yellow Corn) in Nineveh Governorate for the 2022-2023 Production Season (Ba’aj District as a Case Study)” on Monday, January 20, 2025.

The study, presented by the student Waleed Ismail Ibrahim Hammo in the Department of Agricultural Economics, focused on estimating the optimal quantities of productive resources that maximize the profits of barley and yellow corn farmers in the Ba’aj district and measuring the allocative efficiency of the resources used in the production of these two crops.

The study concluded that it is possible for the farmers of these crops to adopt the optimal quantities identified in the research, which would enhance their profitability.

The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Qais Nadhim Ghazal, with members Assistant Professor Dr. Imad Abdulaziz Ahmed and Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Hashem Ali, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Zoweid Fathi Abd.
