On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired the ninth session of the University Council meeting for the academic year 2024-2025 in the presence of the council members.

During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed: The activities of the Science Week that was held in the holy province of Karbala and the role of the most important scientific agreements from Iraqi and regional universities, and the most important mechanisms, preparation and providing the appropriate climates to start the end-of-course exams for the first stage students.

It was also discussed that the deans of the faculties give the teaching staff at the university the opportunity to apply for study leaves, especially in scientific disciplines.

The Council discussed increasing scientific research output, urging productive scientific participation in distinguished and large conferences, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the university and different universities to advance the process of education and scientific research, as well as discussing the courses of action to develop the organizational structure of the University of Mosul, and the most important paragraphs included in the agenda
