Economic Life in the Malabar Region Through Arab and Islamic Blogs Until the Century (8 AH / 12 AD )
On Wednesday 21/12/2022 , the Department of History at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral dissertation on “Economic Life in the Malabar Region Through Arab and Islamic Blogs Until the Century (8 AH / 12 AD )”. Part of it was attended by Pro. Dr. Hazim Dhannoon Ismael Al-Sabawi, the Dean of the College and a number of college teachers. The thesis presented by the student, Omar Nabil Ismail, in the History Department as it dealt with the economic aspects of agricultural aspects, especially the types of agricultural crops, livestock and trade of both internal and external types as well as the industrial aspects of their various and varied types. The study also touched on the most important Agricultural crops such as spices, fruits, vegetables, other crops, livestock of all kinds, land and sea, internal trade in terms of markets and currencies, and external trade in terms of ports, exports, imports , merchants and relations with regions, in addition to mentioning food industries, drugs, perfumes, textiles, minerals, shipbuilding and other industries
The thesis aims to study the economic activities (agricultural, industrial and commercial) in the Malabar region in the south of the Indian subcontinent and its effects resulting in increasing national income and achieving economic integration through the importance of the Malabar; the commercial coast on the Indian economy.
The committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nizar Muhammad Qadir, and the membership of each of Prof. Dr. Abdel Karim Ezz El Din Sadiq, Prof. Dr. Sufian Yassin Ibrahim, Asst.Prof. Dr. Sajid Abdel Mohamed Abdullah, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Hassoun Abbou, and under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Yasser Abdel Gawad Hamed Al-Mashhadani
