College of Medicine

The Council of the College of Medicine held its eighth meeting for the academic year 2019 – 2020 on Sunday, 22 December 2019. The meeting was chaired by the Dean Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed, and in the presence of the Vice- Dean for Scientific Affairs (Council Secretary) Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh.Ibrahim Zubeer, the Vice- Dean for administrative Affairs, Assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. al-Allaf other members of the council. First of all, sincere congratulations were presented to the Dean on the occasion of his re-assignment as the Dean of the College. Then, the main points were reviewed and discussed among which are the rules for applying to an academic leave for the academic year 2020-2021. It was also discussed the half-year exam dates for the current academic year 2019-2020. The distribution of the first newly appointed physicians to the college as tutors to the scientific departments was also discussed. The Council has examined these and other issues, and has taken appropriate decisions and recommendations on them. In this meeting, the Council hosted the lecturer Dr Ahmed A. Ahmed, the Rapporteur of the Department of Microbiology, and the Accountant Imad A. Hajji.
