Under the supervision of the Dept. of Microbiology, and sponsored by IFMSA, a group of three college students with a group from some of the medical colleges conducted a community awareness campaign on Coronavirus on Thursday, 12 March 2020. The lecturer Dr Asma Zaki Shitawi, from the Dept. of Microbiology has supervised the qualification of students. The awareness campaign that was held in different regions of the city of Mosul about this emerging virus included its risks, transmission methods and prevention. Brochures were also distributed in this regard. This campaign confirms the important and vital role of University of Mosul to serve community, and to warn of this virus and its successive implications to date.
