The Dean of the College of Medicine Directs a Message to Students about E-Learning and Coronavirus Conditions

Dear sons and daughters of medical school students, as well as students in all colleges and universities

Peace, mercy and blessings of God…

One year ago, we began to work on the e-learning project at University of Mosul. It is not born today or the past few days. A lot of University of Mosul teaching staff were also dispatched to Lebanon, Egypt and France for training on digital education. It was to be implemented at the beginning of the current school year. Several workshops have been held to train teaching staff to carry out e-learning. The fate played a role in spreading the Coronavirus to the world. All countries, including our beloved country, Iraq, have taken preventive and curative measures to reduce the spread of the epidemic. And it was obligatory to all countries (including the developed ones) to adopt e-learning at all levels of education, including the university course. Because of its importance, it was approved by the Ministry and due to the ability of the teaching staff to communicate information and communicate with students. As we mentioned that the subject of e-learning was being prepared for a while, it was adopted in this difficult circumstance. Of course, the teaching staff and the deanship are always listening to the permanent comments of our dear students and they try to overcome the obstacles in order to communicate the scientific material to the student. So I ask our sons and daughters to interact with this issue to get benefits of it extremely. We are fully confident of the awareness and responsibility of our dear students. We wish them success. We pray to Allah Almighty to protect all humanity from this epidemic and to protect our country and our people from any evil.

Peace be upon you.

Prof Dr Basil M. Saeed Natheer
