College of Medicine

The Council of the College of Medicine (through Skype program) held up its seventeenth meeting for the academic year 2019-2020 on Sunday, 17th May 2020. The meeting was chaired by the Dean, Prof. Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed, and with the presence of the Scientific Vice- Dean (Council Secretary), associate Prof. Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim Zubeer, and the Administrative Vice- Dean, associate Prof. Dr Hazim Kh. al-Allaf, and other members of the Council were also present. The council discussed several topics, the most important of which are the obstacles to applying the courses system, and the shortage of supplies and classrooms. The council also reviewed the minutes of the councils of the scientific departments in this regard, as it unanimously agreed to suspend the courses system and return to the annual system. The council also put its touches on the first stage processors and recommended their approval. In this context, the Council hosted the Chairman of the Curriculum Committee at the College, associate Prof. Dr Arwa M. Fawzi, given the importance of the topic. It was also discussed giving the intensive course after the return of the working hours, the materials covered by it and the time periods for its implementation, according to the directives of the Ministry in effect.
