The Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed attended an electronic meeting of the Deans Committee on Friday, 3rd July 2020. The meeting was held with honour, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research chaired by Prof Dr Nabil K. Abdel-Sahib that shed light on the minutes of the decisions of the Deans Committee regarding the sixth stage exam. The meeting discussed several items including the examination style, the method of examination, the ratios of grades for the final exam and other related topics. His Excellency the Minister listened to debates of the deans of the colleges. The first speaker was the Dean of the College of Medicine, University f Mosul, where he thanked his Excellency for his attending the meeting; he promised to cooperate with other medical colleges in Iraq regarding the decisions that pertaining to the interest of a student and education process. The Minister reviewed the positive steps taken by the college during the Corona pandemic crisis. In the context of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister clarified many matters, and His Excellency’s clarifications were mixed with his generosity and gentleness. The meeting came out with recommendations adopted by all medical colleges for success the current academic year and crossing over to safety in light of this global pandemic and the difficult economic conditions that our dear country is going through.
