A Teaching Staff Member of the College of Medicine Attends a Meeting of the Planning and Development Council in Nineveh Governorate

The Planning and Developing Council in Nineveh Governorate held its sixth session, headed by Najm A. al-Jabouri, Governor of Nineveh, and Hassan al-Allaf, Technical Deputy of Nineveh Governor on Thursday, 16th July 2020. The session dealt with the importance of the Planning and Developing Council and the new administrative structure of the Council, and emphasized that the Council should take its real role, and that its decisions should be correct to return positively to the province. It was noted that there are weaknesses in some of the projects approved by the previous local government as they relied solely on personal judgment. Several other topics included in the agenda were also discussed. The meeting was attended by members of the Council, among them are consultants of teaching staff from University of Mosul including from the Faculty of Medicine, Prof Dr Imad A. Thanoon. It was also attended by the Council assistant and secretariat, the Director of the Performance Appraisal Section and others. It was recognized that the local government was depending on the Reconstruction Fund to restore what was damaged as a result of terrorism and military operations during the liberation battles.
