College of Medicine

The council of the College of Medicine held its second meeting for the academic year 2020-2021 on Sunday September 27th 2020. The meeting was chaired by the Dean, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, and in the presence of the Scientific Vice-Dean (Secretary of the Council), assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and the Administrative Vice-Dean, assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. Al-Allaf and the other council members. Initially, congratulations were extended to the lecturer Dr Asma Z. Shetawi, after her assigning with the duties of chairing the Dept. of Microbiology. After that, the meeting’s agenda was reviewed and discussed, perhaps the most prominent of which is the re-formation of the Scientific Promotion Committee in the faculty, and looking at to the mechanism for examining the certificate equivalency for graduates from outside Iraq. The comprehensive examination committees for doctoral students in the Department of Drugs have also been approved. The results of the second round were also presented for undergraduate and postgraduate students for the academic year 2019-2020 ( they were announced to students after the council ended electronically). The meeting was held in Prof. Dr. Taher Al-Dabbagh’s hall amid precautionary and health measures due to the Corona pandemic.
