The Medical College Council Recommends Starting Mid-Year Exams in Mid-March

The College of Medicine Council recommended that the theoretical mid-year examinations for the academic year 2020-2021 will be launched on Monday, 15th March 2021. Among the recommendations, the exams will be electronic for some subjects and attending for other subjects for all academic stages (except for the sixth stage). Recommendations in this regard were submitted to the presidency of university for approval. In the context of postgraduate studies, the names of those admitted for academic leave for the academic year 2021-2022 were presented. It was also approved to award masters degrees to a number of students from the Departments of Medical Physiology and Pathology who had completed their discussions in the past and completed the corrections recommended by the discussion committees at that time. As for the scientific affairs, a number of researches have been recorded for some teaching staff from different departments. The representative of the students, Uday D. Abdel Qader, was also hosted where many issues pertaining to working hours, exams for all stages were discussed. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, and in the presence of the Scientific Vice- Dean (Secretary of the Council), Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim and other members of the Council.
