College of Medicine

In the presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, and the Scientific Vice- Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim Zubeer, the Department of Otolaryngology in the College of Medicine held the first meeting for the academic year 2020-2021 with the Journal Club for Iraqi and Arab Board students on Sunday, December 20th 2020. The meeting chaired by the Head of the Department of Surgery, Prof Dr Samir I. Al-Saffar, included a valuable lecture for the department’s rapporteur, Assistant Prof Dr Haitham A. Al-Nouri entitled “How to write references”. After the lecture, discussions and interventions occurred by the attendees. Among the attendees were the Official of the Iraqi Board of Otolaryngology (Mosul Training Centre) Prof Dr Ali A. Muhammad as well as some of the college’s teaching staff especially from the Department of Surgery and students of the Iraqi and Arab Board. It is worth noting that holding this meeting is the first of its kind in the urban pattern since the start of the Corona pandemic, and it coincided with the opening of the building of the Specialized Surgery Division of the aforementioned department.
