The College of Medicine Team Achieved a Deserved Victory in the University Futsal Championship (Associate Class)

The College of Medicine team (associate category) achieved a deserved victory in the University Futsal Championship after defeating the College of Computer Science and Mathematics team with a score of eight to two, on Wednesday 3rd February 2021. The match started normally between the two teams and then quickly the medical college team controlled and scored their first goal in the first half. After the goal, play calmed down a bit. From successive attacks, the medical team scored two more goals ending the first half with three goals. In the second half, the medical college team closed the back lines (defensive zones) relying on counter-attacks. The team actually achieved what it wanted as the team managed to score five more goals. On the other hand, the opposing team snatched two goals for its favor from minor defensive lapses to end the match with a great and deserved victory (eight to two). The senior programmer Muhannad A. Al Hobeiti emerged from the attacking medical school team featured who scored five goals alone. The supervisor of the team, Lecturer Dr Muhammad Kh. Salih, the captain of the team, the programmer’s senior Bashar A. Mansour, and the defense accountant Emad A. Hajji, each of them took turns, each of whom scored one goal. While the technical observer Hussein Younis played both offensive and defensive roles successfully. Mr. Abbas A. Mukhtar guarded the window. While the team was led from the contact line the trainer physical education Mr Ahmed Matar. The deanship of the college and the college members bless this victory, wishing continued success. The team of the College of Medicine will meet the team of the College of Agriculture in the next round of the tournament, which is a continuation of last year’s championship which was stopped due to the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.
