A Student Seminar of the Department of Medicine Discussing How to Deal with Patients of Ascites
The eighteenth student seminar of the Department of Medicine discussed how to deal with patients with Ascites on Thursday, 11th February 2021. The students namely, Ali Suleiman, Zahra Dhiab, Sorour Saad, Abdullah Omar, and Ola Shawqi presented the seminar entitled “Approach to a Patient with Ascites” under the supervision the lecturer Dr Muhammad Ghazi from the department of Medicine. After that, there was a room for opinions, questions and interpositions by the attendees.
The topic aimed to get awareness of how to deal with patients with ascites with a review of the most important tests that are conducted in these cases and the latest developments in treatment.
This scientific activity is part of the academic requirements for the sixth year students. Among the attendees were the Head of the Department, Prof Dr Khalid N. Al-Kheroo, the rapporteur, lecturer Dr Wael Th. Younis, and the general teaching staff of the department as well as the students of the aforementioned stage (the group of medicine exclusively).
