The Twelfth Council Meeting of the College of Medicine Announces the Completion of Its Preparations for Getting Going the Mid-Year Examinations Electronically for Undergraduate Students for the Academic Year 2020-2021

The council of the College of Medicine announced the completion of its preparations for getting going the mid-year examinations electronically for undergraduate students for the academic year 2020-2021. This occurred during the twelfth council meeting that took place on Monday 15th March 2021. These exams are expected to start on Monday 22nd March 2021. In another context, The council discussed the college’s accreditation committee’s proposals regarding the admission mechanism in Iraqi medical colleges within the students ’items, recommending approval, and then submitting it to the university’s presidency in order for the subject to be studied by university leaders.

In the field of postgraduate studies, an associate supervisor was added for a master’s student in the pharmacology department. The council was also looked at the departmental councils’ meetings, while discussing other miscellaneous matters that were on the agenda of the meeting.

The Head of the Examination Evaluation Committee was hosted in the college, Assistant Prof Dr Ghaith W. Hamdoun. The meeting’s minutes of the aforementioned committee were presented, and it was referred to the department heads for discussion later.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, and in the presence of the Scientific Vice-Dean (Secretary of the Council), Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and the Administrative Vice-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. Al-Allaf and the other members of the Council.
