College of Medicine

The Council of the College of Medicine held on to its twelfth meeting for the academic year 2019-2020 on Sunday, 23 February 2020. The meeting was chaired by the Dean, Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed, and in the presence of the Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs (Council Secretary) assist. Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim Zubeer, the Vice- Dean for Administrative Affairs, assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. al-Allaf, and other members of the Council (chairmen or rapporteurs of the scientific departments). The meeting debated several items including the results of the graduate students, granting a doctorate of anatomy to both students, Zahraa A. Tabu Omar al-Din and Rana M. Ahmed Khalil. It was presented the designs and plans for the new building of the college (under construction on the right side); some comments were given on them. The Council hosted the Official of the Information Division, Chief Engineer Hasan Y. Abdullah, and giving the university’s presidency of the media a paramount importance because of the new instructions issued by the office of the Vice-president for Scientific Affairs regarding the mechanism of holding on to seminars and scientific conferences aforementioned, especially the college is about to hold many of these activities. The meeting also conducted the registration of scientific researches of the various departments. The council has examined these and other issues, and has taken the appropriate decisions and recommendations on them.
