The College of Medicine Council in its 16th Meeting Recommends Creating New Higher Diploma Study in Applied Epidemiology

The Council of the College of Medicine recommended creating new higher diploma study in Applied Epidemiology for the Department of Family and Community Medicine. This occurred during the sixteenth meeting held on Sunday, 30th May 2021. The recommendation for this development comes in view of the importance of this particular specialization to provide the Ministry of Health with doctors of experience in monitoring and controlling epidemic diseases especially amid the conditions of the corona pandemic. In the context of higher studies, the decision of the discussion committee for postgraduate student in the field medical physiology has been proved. With regard to student affairs, the scientific departments confirmed their full readiness to complete the requirements of the second semester curriculum for the current academic year 2020-2021, and the necessary treatments to complete all academic subjects within the time of the university calendar without accumulating scientific material and negatively affecting student taking into account their exceptional circumstances. In the academic research field, a number of researches were recorded for some teaching staff from various scientific departments as well as other issues and themes that were raised and discussed.
