The Department of Surgery Performs the Final Clinical Exam for the Academic Year 2020-2021 Using the OSCE System

In the presence of the scientific Vice-President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Munir S. Taha, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, and to complete the final exams for the academic year 2020-2021, the Department of Surgery performed the final clinical practical exam for the sixth grade starting on Tuesday, 17th August 2021 and for several days. The exam is performed in the Objective Structured Clinical Examination system, or what is called for short by (OSCE), which is summarized by the student taking the exam by passing through the stations (or sections) of the surgery, where the student takes about 4-5 minutes only per station. Examinations are conducted in medical research centres, where the professors are distributed (each according to his exact surgical specialization) and then the students follow them one after the other. This examination system is the pattern applicable in well-known medical colleges in the world especially those that seek accurate scientific and medical sobriety. Among the attendees were also the Scientific Vice-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim and the Head of the Dept., Prof Dr Samir I. Al-Saffar as well as the rapporteur and the concerned teaching staff. Wish our dear students success and good luck.
