A lecturer in the Department of Surgery, Lecturer Dr Muhannad A. Al-Nuaimi, gave a training course on first aid and advanced aid. The course was attended by nearly fifty participants, who are resident doctors as well as students of the fourth, fifth and sixth stages of the medical faculties of the universities of Mosul and Nineveh. The course included three workshops, with one workshop per week. On Wednesday, 11th November 2020, the first workshop was presented titled “Advanced Trauma Life Suppoert, Advanced Trauma and Accident” On Wednesday, November 18th 2020, the second workshop was presented titled “Basic Life Suppoert First Aid” On Wednesday, November 25th 2020, the third workshop was held titled “Advanced Cardiac Life Suppoert, Advanced Cardiac Life Suppoert” The course discussed first and advanced aid for various cases and injuries with practical training on that. It aimed to promote awareness of the importance and how to properly perform aid. It also reached to enable each participant to understand and apply first aid in the correct scientific and medical manner. In addition, a practical test was conducted for the participants and given them certificates of participation. A certificate of appreciation was also presented to the lecturer by the volunteer team (Vitamins Group) which is the organizer of the scientific event as a whole.
