Selecting the Assistant Professor Doctor Zaid Saad Al-Din Khader among the Winners of the Arab Competition for the very Short Story

The Egyptian virtual platform (Kutubna) held its first edition of “Wamdha Ma” competition for the very short story for 2021. The competition designates to the Egyptian and Arab writers and creators in general to revive the art of the micro-fiction. Dozens of creators and writers from various Arab countries participated in the competition. Its final results lead to selecting only eighty winning stories, one of which is for the creative Assistant Prof Dr Zaid Saad Eddin Khader, from the Department of Surgery, College of Medicine, University of Mosul, for his story entitled “Who opens the door…?”. The organizer will collect the winning stories in one book called “Something is Flashing” bearing the names of the participating authors, and it will participate in the 2022 Cairo International Book Exhibition. The very short story is a fine literary art in which the events, ideas, characters, and plot are condensed in a stack but creative way so that the reader can come out with a very strong impression somewhat deeper than the long story or novel. The deanship and the college members congratulate him and wish him continued brilliance and success in the world of literature along with the scientific, medical and academic fields.
