College of Medicine

Under the patronage and presence of the President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Qusay K. Al-Ahmadi, and in the presence of the Presidents of University of Nineveh and Northern Technology and members of the councils of the aforementioned universities, the university held a special ceremony for an elite of its scholars on Tuesday 26th January 2021. The celebration began with verses from the Holy Quran, then a stopping a moment to read Surat Al-Fatihah as a tribute to the souls of the martyrs. After the words of welcome, the President of University honored a number of former university presidents, its assistants and its scholars who held advanced positions in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. From the Faculty of Medicine at University of Mosul, among the honourees were the former President of Nineveh University, Prof Muzahim Q. Al-Khayyat (the former Dean of the College), and the former Scientific Vice-President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Nazar M. Qiba’ (Former Head of the Department of Medicine).In the same field, the Dean, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, honored both Assistant Prof Dr Muzahim F. Al-Chitchi (the former Dean of the College) and Prof Dr Bybin Kh. Al-Silifani (Dean of the former College). The university’s holding of this special celebration is coincided with International Education Day.
