College of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine Council held its eighth meeting for the academic year 2020-2021 on Sunday 10th January 2021. The meeting was chaired by the Dean Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, and in the presence of the Scientific Vice- Dean (Secretary of the Council), Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and the Administrative Vice- Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. Al-Allaf and the other council members. The meeting discussed the necessity of applying the QS classification criteria for universities. It was emphasized the academic reputation criterion for University of Mosul in this classification. As for student affairs, the Dean emphasized the need for the practical side and clinical training of students to be traditional, not electronic. They also discussed the issue of the current shortage in classrooms, and how to find ways to find possible alternatives. The minutes of the meeting of the curriculum and clearing committees were also reviewed, and they were approved.
